Managing hot flashes can be very difficult for some women and very simple for others. To help ease the pains of dealing with hot flashes, here is a list of 11 natural remedies.
1. Flaxseed oil
Flaxseeds are rich in lignans and omega-3 fatty acids that are thought to be beneficial to women experiencing hot flushes. Studies show that a higher intake of omega-3 balances out the fatty acids in a woman’s diet that then lessens the severity of menopause symptoms. Lignans, a group of chemicals found in plants that are natural phytoestrogens, replicates female oestrogen in the female body. Hormones in the female body change in levels during menopause and replicating female oestrogen and progesterone helps balance the hormones out. Chemical methods and drugs are available to help balance out the hormones in the body but most women tend to lean towards the natural way.
