5. Oatmeal

Oats contains natural compounds that help reduce inflammation and reduce the itching. You can add oats to a cold bath and soak in it. Simply grind a cup of oatmeal in a blender and place in the toe of a clean sock, or wrap in a clean cloth, and suspend under the faucet while filling the bath. Soaking for about 30 minutes will bring relief. Alternatively, you can make a smooth paste of the finely ground oatmeal and apply a thin layer to the affected area. Allow to dry and gently rinse off with cold water. Reapply every few hours until the rash abates and you experience relief.
