2. Try the Following Neck Stretches
Stretch the muscles in the sides of your neck by slowly tilting your head to your shoulder, first on one side and then the other. Do five to ten repetitions each side, until the muscles begin to feel more relaxed. Next, look from side to side. Turn your head as far as it will go to the left and then to the right. Again, do it slowly and gently for five to ten times each side. Avoid jerking your neck, keep the movements smooth and slow. Lastly, nod your head backwards and forwards. Slowly drop your head onto your chest, then bend it back as far as it will go, five to ten times each way. With all these stretches avoid pushing too hard, don’t try to stretch beyond the point where it hurts.
