2. Reduce salt intake
Salt has a strong contribution in water retention since it can easily absorb water and cause clogging in body tissues and muscles. Avoid any salty food for at least 2-3 days and it will significantly cure water retention especially when you increase water intake throughout the day at the same time. By greatly reducing your salt intake to as less as 0.5 grams for a few days can help remove excess water in the body. You may replace salt with different kinds of herbs and spices to flavour your meals.
