3. Aloe Vera Juice
Aloe vera is known for its soothing properties. You may have used it in the past to ease a sunburn or treat irritated skin. But aloe vera juice can also be an effective home remedy for acid reflux. The juice may help decrease inflammation or irritation in the esophagus, which soothes the burning feeling reflux can cause. Aloe vera juice also contains polysaccharides, which may help with the digestion of food. If you already have reflux, drink two ounces of a purified aloe juice intended for internal use. As a preventive measure, drink one ounce about twenty minutes before eating foods that may cause reflux. Keep in mind, aloe vera can have a laxative effect, so make sure to buy juice that has the laxative component removed.
