2. Weakness

While fatigue is a sense of exhaustion with a need to rest, weakness refers to a lack of physical strength where extra effort is needed to move the arms, legs or other muscles. General weakness is typically caused by doing too much activity, but on occasion may be the result of an underlying medical condition such as hypothyroidism.

A low thyroid can easily cause a person to not only feel overly weak but also exhibit a slowing of reflexes.
