11 Remedies for an Eye Stye

7. Coriander Seeds

Coriander seeds have traditionally been used to treat eye styes in the east. Coriander seeds are rich in essential oils that have natural anti-inflammatory properties. They help reduce pain and swelling and soothe the skin. Add one teaspoon of coriander seeds to one cup of water and bring to the boil for a few minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Strain the water to remove the seeds. Use this water to bathe the affected eye three to four times a day. Repeat the process every day until the stye has subsided.
