8. Boric acid

Boric acid has been studied to be a safe, effective and inexpensive yeast remedy. And while it is a chemical substance, it also exhibits mild antiseptic and antifungal activities which can be helpful in treating vaginal thrush.

To use, dilute some boric acid in water and apply the mixture over the affected area. Leave for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Continue this application for two weeks to seek relief.

Boric acid capsules can also be used as a suppository in case of a flare up. However, this remedy is not recommended for expectant mothers.
