10. Avoid harsh cleaning and feminine hygiene products
Personal cleaning products often contain alcohol and other chemicals which can easily aggravate the discomfort associated with thrush. Plus, they may also influence the pH balance of the vagina, encouraging yeast to thrive there.
When suffering from thrush, regular douching should also be avoided. Instead, opt for a mild vinegar douche aimed at restoring the vaginal pH balance. Douching with yogurt which contains live bacteria can also help replenish friendly microorganisms which may have been due to the infection or use of antibiotics.
