Throbbing headache

Throbbing temples may also be a symptom of a heat related illness. Throbbing headaches can be brought upon by working or exercising in hot conditions or hot weather without drinking enough fluids or may be triggered by not wearing adequate protective gear on the head leaving it exposed to the sun or the heat.

While headaches are typically characteristic of heat exhaustion, a really bad, pounding headache is a common symptom of a heat stroke. The condition results from extreme heat exposure in which the body attempts to cool itself by sending more blood to the skin and thus depriving the brain of oxygen.
